ROS Groovy installation instructions
These instructions will install our current release, ROS Groovy Galapagos. To install our previous release, ROS Fuerte, please see the Fuerte installation instructions. To install our upcoming release, please see the Hydro installation instructions.
Below are instructions for installing ROS on various operating systems. You may also wish to look at robot-specific installation options instead.
The images at nootrix.com are not created by, or maintained by, OSRF or the ROS developer team. Use at your own risk.
Alternatively, you can use a virtual machine with Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS and ROS Groovy Galapagos pre-installed. It is packaged in an .ova file of approx. 3.3GB that you can run on VirtualBox or other virtualization engines.
