Establishment of Bridges-SIG mailing list
Discussion of current SIG goals:
- develop and establish standard way to expose ROS as a service to applications outside of a ROS environment
- develop a standard ROS data protocol and message structure for foreign clients
Discussion of (possible) future goals:
- foreign client security
- transport considerations (performance, etc.)
- exposure of additional ROS features (params, capability discovery, etc.)
rosbridge as initial API offering for API freeze?
- stick with JSON as the marshaling technology?

- decided to begin a collaborative bridging documentation project
- general agreement on the desirability of moving functionality out of the individual projects into ROS nodes than can be shared between the projects, but no roadmap as of yet
